Underbody Coating Applications

Galvanic corrosion occurs when steel (and some other metals) comes into contact with aluminum along with moisture.

For corrosion protection, the entire frame is immersed in an e-coat solution at the factory and an electric charge is applied.
However, steel body parts obviously can rust and often does regardless of the e-coat, especially is high-salt areas.

Northern countries in Europe where salt is used on the roads during the winter, vehicles may better get undercoated.
Ford Transit vehicles come treated from the ModCenter, if customers don’t want to see rust underneath in a short while.

Power Sliding Door

The mechanical, electronic (software and hardware) design of the automatic sliding door system used in V363 Transit models was realized by our engineering team.

All tests (EMC, strength and life tests) were performed in accredited laboratories and the homologation process was completed. The product is TSE approved and is currently used in vehicles.

Power Step

One Powerstep for passenger side that covers front and sliding door.

Each Powerstep is an automatic, electronic device that instantly extends when the door opens, then retracts safely out of sight when the doors close.
